Charcon introduce six new shades to its Andover Washed concrete block paving range

Charcon, the commercial hard landscaping division of Aggregate Industries, has introduced six new shades to its popular Andover Washed concrete block paving range.

In response to increased demand from specifiers and contractors for contemporary colour options, three new grey shades – Light, Mid and Dark Grey – have been added to complement the existing Andover range. The collection has been strengthened with the addition of three bespoke shades – Pink Granite, Heather Porphyry and Tuscan Porphyry – which were designed specifically for Leicester’s Greyfriars Conservation Area, ahead of the reinternment of King Richard III in 2015.

The new shades have extended the Andover Washed range from two standard colour options – Silver Grey and Anthracite Charcoal – to eight complementary shades. Each of the new shades are available in all Andover’s standard size options.

Mike Davies, Specifications and Major Projects Manager for Charcon, comments: “The introduction of six new shades to our Andover Washed range is offering specifiers more choice and increased design possibilities. The decision to extend the range in this way demonstrates our continued investment and ongoing commitment to delivering the very best solutions. Our customers told us they wanted more options over and above the traditional commercial shades of grey and buff - and we listened.”

Andover Washed offers a high quality contemporary hard landscaping solution, ideal for public realm projects, including town centres and pedestrianised areas. The enhanced range can be used to create different patterning effects in adjacent areas while retaining overall texture and colour consistency. Long aspect paving is available for a versatile contemporary look. Andover Washed contains up to 50 per cent recycled material in the complete mix design, with permeable block paving options available.
