Allmanhall’s commitment to sustainability further enforced

allmanhall has long been committed to sustainability within the food service industry. It has endeavoured to ensure its responsible operations and actions have a positive impact on the planet , with client and supplier relationships established on fairness, integrity, longevity, and mutual respect. allmanhall is therefore delighted to announce it has  been successful in meeting the standards required to become an EcoVadis Gold rated supplier.

EcoVadis is the world’s largest provider of business sustainability ratings enabling all companies to reduce risk, drive improvement and accelerate positive impact on our planet and society. The EcoVadis sustainability assessment methodology is at the heart of its Ratings and Scorecards and is an evaluation of how well a company has integrated the principles of Sustainability/CSR into their business and management system.  Following its annual sustainability assessment EcoVadis rated allmanhall as 'Gold Rated'. Mike Meek, allmanhall’s procurement and sustainability director, commented, “This international rating system which covers ethics, sustainability and governance puts allmanhall on the 94 percentile of global businesses assessed. We need to change our ways of production and consumption. Now it falls to every individual, business, and nation to begin to collaborate to embed these principles.  Schemes like the UN Global Compact are imperative, allowing for collaboration in a way never seen before. EcoVadis brings a necessary transparency and accountability, hence why allmanhall's recognition by this universal sustainability ratings & intelligence solution is so meaningful."

This achievement follows allmanhall’s announcement earlier in the year that it had joined  the UN Global Compact Initiative. A voluntary leadership platform for the development, implementation and disclosure of all responsible business practices, allmanhall has aligned and embedded the 10 principals of the Initiative into its strategies and operations, committing to take  responsible actions to create the world we all want. An exclusive partnership with the ground-breaking carbon impact assessment technology business, ‘Foodsteps’ is yet another example of allmanhall’s commitment to understanding and mitigating the environmental impact of food offerings. It allows In-house school catering teams to access data that will help them make informed decisions when it comes to the environmental impact of their menu choices, via a clear rating system and carbon footprint per ingredient.

A further milestone for allmanhalll was its recent success in achieving Investors in People Gold Accreditation. allmanhall has always put people first, the team, its clients and suppliers, with strong relationships and outstanding support. This Investors in People Gold Accreditation is testament to the culture and care that has been born out of this ethos and of the sincerity of allmanhall’s strong core values
